We are absolutely delighted to introduce you to Eleanor who is our lovely Avid Seamstress of the month for February!

Here’s a little bit about Eleanor..

“I’m married, a mother of two girls and have been sewing since I was five or six. My grandma was a teacher who specialised in needlework and my Mum’s family were all involved in the textiles industry, so it’s in my blood!”

Eleanor made The City Trousers and said “I’ve really enjoyed making them, having not made any trousers since last summer (which was the first pair for about ten years!) and love the shape. I made a couple of small changes, hand stitching the waistband in place on the inside and using Vilene waistband interfacing to give some body to the waistband (which I’m now questioning as it’s a little stiff!) and hand stitching the hems.
