Featuring beautiful fabric that we’ve hand-picked especially, this kit includes everything you’ll need to sew our new pattern The Gathered Dress – Adult

We’re so in love with the fabric that we’ve chosen for this kit. If you’ve had a peek at the SS/18 catwalks you’ll see that dark denim has well and truly been revived and has been seen in the form of tailored trousers and various dress designs. For The Gathered Dress we’ve hand-picked a beautiful tencel and cotton blend, which is crisp yet lightweight enough to work perfectly for this style. With a blend of 65% tencel and 35% cotton, this fabric holds its shape and is very breathable, ideal for the upcoming warmer months.

Each fabric kit contains the following:

• Printed copy of The Gathered Dress – Adult sewing pattern
• Fabric (Sizes 0-3 / UK6-12 – 2.2 metres of fabric / Sizes 4-8 UK14-22 – 3 metres of fabric)
• Iron-on interfacing
• 56cm/22” Invisible zip
• 1m elastic (5mm wide)
• Guterman 250m thread

Fabric information:

• 65% tencel and 35% cotton
• 8% shrinkage – pre-washing very important
• Machine wash cold
• No bleach
• Hang dry, do not iron

The Gathered Dress has been created with the modern woman in mind. From the school run to the office, The Gathered Dress will help you to feel stylishly smart yet comfortable.

For the adult version, we‘ve added a more modern raglan sleeve but have kept the charming gathered waist at the back – an interesting and different style line, and ideal for days when you don‘t feel like wearing fitted clothes.

Other features include a slim front silhouette, invisible zip and two different sleeve lengths. We’ve also added a dart at the shoulder to create an amazing finish. It‘s an ideal pattern for beginners as well as intermediates that want a quick, easy sew.
