The Marching Pencils

The Marching Pencils creates handmade, quirky, pun-tastic greeting cards for all occasions. With a desire to spread a little joy, celebrating life’s moments, big and small. A handwritten message, a surprise card in the post, or a thoughtful little gift, just because.

Meet The Maker – Ceylan Kemal

When she was about six years old, she wanted to grow up and become a Rabbit. She changed her mind a short while after, and decided she wanted to become a Mermaid! Upon discovering that she was in fact a human being, and could not change her physical form. She picked up a pencil and a huge scoop of her imagination, and decided to create her own characters and worlds on paper. She has been in love with many different mediums, in particular fine liner and coloured pencils.

Graduating with a degree in Illustration from Central Saint Martins University. She began to create ‘The Marching Pencils’, illustrating and designing her own range of greeting cards.
