A birthday party with a difference! Creative and fun, using handstitching with fabric, felt and buttons. Lots of designs to choose from – owls, birds, elephants, robots, boats – your child can choose the designs they would like for their party.

Each child is given a square piece of cream fabric to sew onto. They then choose from a design that has been pre-cut out of felt. The designs look fantastic against the cream fabric. They choose their beads and buttons, cotton and they are ready to sew!

I teach them how to sew a simple straight stitch and also a blanket stitch which looks wonderful sewn onto felt. Guidance and help is given throughout the party.

Once the images are sewn on, and while they break for cake (yum!), I sew them up on the sewing machine – all the cushions are sewn together with a envelope cushion back.

Each child leaves with a gorgeous cushion that they have created. They are normally so proud of what they have created – it beats a party bag anyday!

Parties can be held at your home or my studio in North London.
