The Camber Set Dress

The Camber Set front

Come and join our drop in sewing sessions and make your own version of this gorgeous dress.

Merchant and Mills “The Camber Set” – Tapered A-line silhouette with short sleeves – this pattern can be made into a top or dress. It flows so beautifully and can be made from almost any fabric!

Bring your own machine or use one of my Elna, Pfaff or Brother sewing machines.

Easy to make – I honestly couldn’t believe how simple it was to put together. I will guide you through each step and you will get your own Merchant and Mills “The Camber Set” pattern to take away with you (worth £13)!

Skill level:  Beginners, able to thread a machine and sew in a straight line – or someone that has attended the beginners workshop

Materials: please bring your own fabric, 2-3 metres (cotton or light linen/light denim). I will confirm how much you need once you have booked and I am able to confirm your size.

Fabric can be bought from our website by clicking here

Locations:

Tuesday evenings – Cafe Delicia, 4-5 Cheapside, Fortis Green, London, N2 9HP

Thursday evenings – Baskervilles Tea Shop, 66 Alderman’s Hill, Palmers Green, London, N13 4PP

How do drop in sessions work?

If you wanted to work on something that isn’t one of preset workshops, for example you want to buy a pattern and make a dress but need help with it you can then “drop in” on one of the Tuesday or Thursday nights to work on your own project.

This cost is £20 for the evening. I am there 7-10pm but you can join at any point. I would need to know when you are going to “drop in” so that I can make sure I am there and also whether you need to “book” a sewing machine. If you do need to “book” a sewing machine this will cost an additional £5.

You can’t book the “drop in” sessions on the website, you let me know which night you are coming and you can pay on the night (I have a debit card payment machine too).

The drop in sessions are great – you could drop in one week to work on your project and then decide if/when you want to drop in again – so if you are making something complicated you might decide to drop in every second week to get help on the project – the cost is £20 for every drop in session (plus £5 if you need to reserve a sewing machine).
